To support the FAI conference planning team, a local advisory committee convened with the help of Reid Wick, New Orleans-based Sr. Membership & Project Manager for the Recording Academy, and FAI board member. The committee consists of people from various roles and industries in the city. They are helping to connect FAI with local organizations and leaders, suggesting vendors and panelists, and generally acting as ambassadors for FAI. We're grateful for their input and over the next few months, you'll be hearing directly from a few of them.

During the 2019 Montréal conference, through the “Performing Arts Readiness” (PAR) project, funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, an expert evaluated on-site the safety of the conference for our attendees. The PAR project seeks to improve emergency preparedness among performing arts organizations through advocacy and outreach.
While appreciating that artist posters are part of the visual culture of the late-night FAI experience, issues of waste, clutter, damage, ineffectiveness, and fire safety prompted us to consider options moving forward. Please take the following survey to help FAI decide the best possible direction.

Limiting Fan Registrations
|
|
The 2020 conference is on course to hit maximum capacity. In order to ensure that artists and industry are able to register and access this industry event, music fans (non-voting members; people without a professional role in music) are limited to 100 registrants this year. The exception is for those who volunteer (until the volunteer numbers are met).
