BIO
Born and raised in Alaska (where he learned fiddle), and coming to FAI fresh from his 5th season supporting the US's Antarctic Program in McMurdo Station (where he learned clawhammer banjo), Collin Stackhouse writes some pretty darn nice songs. A modern vocal style, drawing on traditional instrumentation, singing about everything from being a queer dude falling in love, to how our society is headed to a collapse, to a stage-fright fiddle tune. He plays fiddle in the boundary-pushing Scandinavian-folk-fusion band Varesle, who released their debut album in March 2019. Collin also recently recorded an new album of original songs with his band, Stackhouse & The Garden. They will release their debut live album in the spring of 2020, and Collin will be performing songs from that upcoming album solo at FAI.

BOOKING GOALS: ALL OF THEM
Very interested in making connections for both Stackhouse & The Garden and Varelse. Both bands will be touring in summer and fall of 2020. We're planning on coming to festivals and venues around the country, and we'd love to connect!
