Poets, Queers, and Radicals - Private Showcase Room

Poets, Queers and Radicals - Private Showcase Room

This is a new room! A project of Groundings Poetry Collective, based in Tkaronto (Toronto) Ontario, Canada. We are interested in building arts ecologies that support and lift up the work of BIPOC (black, indigenous, persons of colour) artists. In our room you will find spoken word, dub, reggae, singer songwriters, storytellers, the hard truths about our times, and the joy of connection and community.

To be eligible to perform in our room, we are looking for spoken word artists, storytellers, and/or musicians who are:
- Black, or indigenous, or persons of colour
Or
- LBGTQ2+
AND
- Perform content that is socially progressive, has to do with the times
We are prioritizing BIPOC artists, and Canadian artists.

Apply via email groundingscollective@gmail.com
- Please self-identify however you are comfortable in your application
- Tell us why you want to perform in our room
- Include a 100-300 word bio, and at least two videos of recent live performance
Or direct us to your website where we can find these items.

If we don't reply within a week, please assume we will not be offering a slot. Realistically we only have about 10-15 slots. Good luck!

Thank you!
