Sparky Rucker, who has performed for more than 40 years, is an
internationally recognized folklorist, musician, historian, storyteller and author. He plays fingerstyle and bottleneck blues guitar, banjo, and spoons. Rhonda Rucker, a musician, children's author, storyteller, and songwriter, plays blues-style harmonica, piano, old-time banjo and bones. The duo has performed at the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington D.C., as well as on NPR's On Point, Prairie Home Companion, Mountain Stage and Morning Edition.
